Deva Pooja Paddathi (in Sanskrit)

Tantrasara (Kannada)

One of his most famous shishyarUs was shri jagannAtha dAsaru. He studied with swAmiji and has composed a stOtra on swamji - varadEndra pancharatna mAlika.

Blessings to prANEsha dAasaru:

prANEsha dAsaru was a shishyaru of shri jagannAtha dAsaru. He lived in lingasugUru. Once when swAmIji visited that place, shri prANEsha dAsaru hosted him. Before leaving swAmIji requested a piece of land in the backyard that was holding jowar crop. shri dAsaru delightfully donated the land to swAmIji. swAmIji asked dAsaru to continue to look after the land for now.

Pune brindAvana:

During swAmIji's time, Balaji Bajirao was the chieftain of Pune and shri Rama Shastri was a judge in his court. Shri Shastri was a learned and pious man. A debate took place between swAmIji and shri Rama Shastri. It was agreed that Rama Shastri would vacate his house and surrender to swAmIji if he lost the debate. If swAmIji lost, he would relinquish all his titles and honors. Needless to say, shri varadEndra tIrtharu won the debate. Rama Shastri handed over the house. SwAmIji spent his last days in the same house at Pune and attained brindAvana at the house itself. There is mrithika brindAvana of rAyaru and praNadEvaru vigraha on top of the mUla brindAvana.

Lingasuguru brindAvana:

After attaining brindAvana, shri swAmIji appeared in the dream of prAnEsha dAsaru and mentioned that there would be a tuLasi plant in the jowar land that he had gifted and his presence is there in the plant and asked dAsaru to perform pUja there and take care of it. dAsaru woke up in the morning and when he looked in the place mentioned, he indeed saw a tuLasi plant. He started performing pUja daily. In due course, shri swAmIji again appeared in the dream of dAsaru and asked him to consecrate a brindAvana at that spot and also mentioned the date and time. prANEsha dAsaru dutifully did the consecration of the brindAvana at the anointed date and time. Due to this, this brindAvana is also called "swapna vrindAvana".  ArAdhane is performed to this day with all pomp and splendor.
