Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy Temple — Melukote

Melukote's Yoga Narasimha temple stands prominently on the hill above the famous Cheluvanarayana Swamy Temple. Traditional accounts connect the shrine with Bhakta Prahlada, who is said to have worshipped Narasimha here and established the Lord's worship on the hill.

Melukote later became one of Karnataka's great Sri Vaishnava centres through its association with Sri Ramanujacharya. The hill shrine also received patronage from later Vijayanagara and Mysore rulers, making it important both devotionally and historically
