Sthala Purana / Significance
Kashi Moola Math at Brahma Ghat is an important traditional Matha in Varanasi with Sri Lakshmi Narasimha as its presiding deity. The Matha also houses other Vaishnava deities and preserves a long lineage of worship and religious learning.
The shrine is especially important to the Gowda Saraswat Vaishnava community and represents the continuity of Narasimha worship within a major northern centre of Hindu learning and pilgrimage
