Sthala Purana
The temple at Ketavaram is believed to date back to the Satya Yuga, when Lord Narasimha appeared to bless sages performing penance on the banks of the Kundu River. The deity is worshipped as Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, seated with Goddess Lakshmi, radiating peace and protection. The site is surrounded by hills and caves, and inscriptions found nearby suggest its antiquity under the Vijayanagara Empire.
