Shri Sagarakatte Vyasaraja Matha is the youngest of all the Madhwa Mathas. It was established in the year 1920 by Shri Lakshmipriya Teertharu of Shri Kundapura Vyasaraja Math in a village called Sagarakatte which close to Mysuru.
He initiated Shri Pradhyumna Teertharu to be the first Pontiff of Shri Sagarakatte Vyasaraja Matha. Shri Pradhyumna Teertharu studied under Shri Vedanidhi Teertharu of Shri Sripadaraja Matha, Mulbagal and was an eminent scholar par excellence.
