How many forms of God (Bhagavad Roopas) are present in holy basil (Tulasi) and flowers? Jagannatha Dasa has explained this in the eighth verse of the fifth chapter of Harikathamrutasara.
The verse explains the number of divine forms present in different sacred items used in worship:
In water – 24 forms of God
In Tulasi leaves – 5,317 forms of God
In flowers – 161 forms of God
In lamps – 13 forms of God
In fragrance – 403 subtle forms of God
Thus, this verse beautifully describes how numerous divine forms of the Lord are present in these sacred elements used in daily worship.
