Madhwa

After the demise of the Father, for all Weddings, Upanayanam, etc. whose name should appear in the Invitation - Can we put one's Mothers name or Elder Brother's name or Grand Parents (if they are alive) name or name of In-Laws in such Invitation?

Pt Sri Pranesh Achar (Ananda Rangan)

General

If the father of the bride or groom has passed away, his name should still be mentioned on the invitation card with the prefix “Late”. This is because all descriptions on the invitation are ultimately connected to the bride or groom, and the name of the immediate parent should not be omitted.

Therefore, even if the father is no longer alive, the invitation should mention “Late [Name]’s daughter” or “Late [Name]’s son”, as appropriate.
