Vedas - An Unbiased view part 24

In this Part-24:

Recap of previous episode; Human words independent of Vedās, cannot be the basis for Dharma-adharma because humans have defects; also, assuming a human as omniscient will lead to endless regression and our own experience is contrary to omniscience. Instead of having infinite imaginations, one imagination that Vedās are eternal is better. However, eternity of Vedās is not just imagination but logically debated and proven.

When opponents are pushed to accept eternity is possible, they may ask, "Let it be possible. How you can certainly say it or prove it?"

Eternity need not be proven because it is already popular. Even Buddhists believe in eternity of space (divisions of Buddhism that don't believe even in eternity of space is dealt later); Science believes in Law of conservation of energy and Law of conservation of mass, which are actually philosophical statements adopted from Vedic religion; Space is eternal, time is eternal (here space and time are explained a bit as per Madhva Siddhānta).

When Buddhism, Science everyone believe in eternity already, why Vedās alone is imagined to have an author and can't be accepted eternal? There is no known author for Vedās since time immemorial; on other hand, it is already popular from time immemorial that Vedās are authorless. Hence, obvious cases need not be proven.

Also, if a religion fails to accept eternal words, then their Dharma-adharma will become baseless. Hence, eternal words or Vedās are to be necessarily agreed.

The debate does not stop here. To be continued in the next episode.
